I remember back when I was a child and my parents had friends over. My mom would say, "Ya know, so and so has been Mommy's friend for 40 years. It seemed like infinity to me...friends forever...wow. And now, here we are, all of us celebrating our Barbara, our BK, our Barbie for let's see...43 years for us and for a few of you, even more. This is what life should be about...being there for one another...always. Not just for the shitty stuff, but the really happy events. And this is a special one. Barb turning the big 60!
This is one special lady...her heart is as big as the universe, her smile lights up a room like a 500 watt beam, her kindness and warmth are contagious and her generosity is just beyond.
How lucky we are to call you friend? How lucky are we to have you in our lives? How lucky are we to be here celebrating together this special woman? We have all come to be friends over the years through the glue that binds us. We are lucky to come together for such an event, it's like old home week. So great to see all of you. So let's raise our glasses to remarkable woman who we all love to the moon and back!
